John Cleese in Bank Zachodni WBK Commercial

John Cleese in his first commercial for Bank Zachodni WBK, a second commercial is currently being filmed in Warsaw.

The ad was also aired in all news programmes in Poland after representatives from a small town near Krakow complained when it was referenced in the advert, when Cleese claims that he “has an aunt from Pcim”, and therefore is eligible for one of the bank’s credit accounts. The local council in Pcim quickly changed its mind about the commercial when it realised that here was a perfect vehicle to get the town noticed and was, in fact, great publicity.
