Fiat 126
I often wondered why there are so many Fiat 126′s in Poland. Did the owners know something I didn’t? Do women find men driving them attractive?
I’d hazard a guess at ‘No’ and ‘No’, when I tried to buy one for fun my girlfriend threatened to leave me. Back when they were being produced it was very difficult to buy a foreign car as there was no free market and the Polish Zlotly was not exchangable.
Thus this little Fiat 126 became one of the first popular cars for communist Poland, 3,320,000 were eventually produced in the country.

There is an old joke about a conversation between a military tank and the 126p.
ReplyTank: Look at yourself! What a mess you are, carrying engine up your ass!
126p: I’d rather carry engine up my ass than dick upon my forehead.
This special characteristic of 126 was it’s real value , for being low cost production it had back wheel drive, which is a rare thing, and back wheel drive is something you’d really appreciate in deep snow usualy covering all the road. Btw, the last car ever produced by factory had been given as a souvenire to David Lynch, who found it more expensive in taking home, than actually buing it. I imagine that he has also problem driving it as nearly 2m tall man .
My best new year greetings to you from right bank of Vistula Warsaw
